SALLY’s TRADITIONAL PUMPKIN PIE

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar.
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt.
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon.
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger.
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves.
  • 2 large eggs.
  • 1 can 100% pure pumpkin.
  • 1 12 ounce can Carnation evaporated milk.
  • 1 unbaked 9 inch deep dish pie shell.

Directions

  • Mix sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger and cloves in a small bowl.
  • Beat eggs in a large bowl.
  • Stir in pumpkin and sugar/spice mixture.
  • Gradually stir in evaporated milk.
  • Pour into pie shell.
  • Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees.
  • Bake 40-50 minutes.
  • Cool on wire rack for 2 hours.

*Add dollop of whipped cream topping.
