CJ’s CROCK POT HAM & BEANS

Ingredients (Recipe makes 7 servings)

  • 2 12 oz. cans Cannellini (white) beans, drained.
  • 1/2 pound cooked ham, chopped.
  • 1 medium onion, diced.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar.
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley.
  • salt & pepper to taste.

Direction

  • Drain beans and pour into crock pot.
  • Add chopped ham, onion, brown sugar, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper and parsley.
  • Add 2 cups water to the mix.
  • Stir thoroughly to fully mix ingredients.
  • Cover crock pot and cook 3 hours on low heat.
  • Check periodically and stir, adding a little water if necessary.
  • Switch to warm setting to keep ham and beans warm until you’re ready to serve.

*Serve with hot cornbread
